Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) has released the Australian Resilience Index, Australia's first comprehensive measure of resilience at a local community level. The research reveals that more than one in five Australians experience significant vulnerability, with financial insecurity emerging as the largest contributing factor.

Developed in collaboration with Mandala Partners, RedBridge Group and Accent Research, the Index draws on more than two million proprietary and public data points to provide a detailed picture of resilience across health, financial, social and environmental dimensions.

In this edition, we also explore Zurich's latest global research, The Value of Chronic Care, which highlights the importance of prevention, early intervention and coordinated support in improving health outcomes, workforce participation and financial wellbeing.

You'll hear from Tracey Quang Ip, Head of Group Insurance Claims, who shares how Zurich combines care, empathy and resilience when it’s need most. This commitment is brought to life in My Claim Made it Possible campaign, where share real member stories and how practical support helped them navigate life's challenges and move forward with confidence.

As trusted partners to super funds and employers, we remain focused on helping Australians build healthier futures and achieve better outcomes. We look forward to connecting with many of you at the FEAL Directors Luncheon Series and the ASFA Conference as we continue conversations about the future of member wellbeing.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust.

Warm regards,

John Mirotsos
