Welcome to the Autumn edition of Insurance Insights

While we watch the terrible situation in Ukraine unfold, we as a company hope for a peaceful ending to this conflict.  Our thoughts remain with the Ukrainian people and their families around the world that are affected.

We also turn our focus to all those that have been impacted by the floods in Northern NSW and Queensland. Our Zurich General Insurance Claims team are currently assisting customers affected by the flooding in these affected areas. This extreme weather is a timely reminder about the risks that we face on a national and global front.

The findings of the Global Risks Report 2022, in partnership with Zurich Insurance Group, outline the global concerns around climate change and the impacts of Covid-19, and we take a look at how businesses can respond to these global risks. We also investigate how the journey to net-zero future could be slowed due to fear of a disorderly transition.

Looking ahead, in the coming months we are keen to be meeting all of you in person once again and we are especially thrilled to be launching our new corporate product and informing you about it’s exciting customer centric product features.

We get to introduce you to Francis Burgess, Head of Pricing and get his take on what are the biggest growth opportunities for group insurance in 2022. And we are delighted to introduce another appointment within our Zurich Life & Investments Group Insurance portfolio, Ahmad Racheha. Ahmad has joined Darren Wickham’s team as Head of Digital and Member Engagement, in a newly created senior leadership position. Ahmad brings his deep experience with member engagement and technology to support our partners in engaging with their own members and customers.
