Darren Wickham - Head of Group Insurance
Darren is responsible for the overall Group Life insurance business, which provides valuable insurance benefits to the members of industry super funds, master trusts and employers. He is accountable for strategy, product, pricing, relationships, growth and member engagement.
Darren has had a nearly 30-year career as an actuary and specialist in superannuation, life insurance, retirement income and other employee benefits. He is also an experienced superannuation trustee director and a former Actuary of the Year. Darren is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and holds a Masters in Economics from Macquarie University.
John Mirotsos - Head of Partnerships
John has over 30 years Financial Services experience across the Life Insurance and Superannuation market. John and his team are responsible for the distribution and strategic relationship management of our key Superfund partners and intermediaries across the group insurance market. Our goal is to deliver value adding initiatives to our partners utilising the global and local capabilities of the Zurich Group.

Jen and her team are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of product solutions. With over 15 years industry experience, Jennifer brings her deep knowledge about how products apply in practice and the impact this has on the lives of our customers.
Mel Ware - Head of Marketing and Brand
Mel has nearly 20 years of industry experience and leads a team that is passionate about driving member engagement and their understanding of insurance options available. The team achieves this by combining member insights with creativity to produce amazing experiences and tools for our partners to use.
Matt Howell - Member Engagement Lead
Matt is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in financial services technology. He has led Platform, Digital Product, and Technology Delivery initiatives, including Group Insurance Digital propositions and Claims Digital strategies. Matt has built new businesses, transformed existing ones, and is passionate about the benefits of digital and agile delivery for businesses, customers, and employees.
Francis Burgess – Head of Pricing
In a newly created position within the Group Insurance leadership team, Francis Burgess has helped boost Zurich’s actuarial strength, whilst delivering new insights and innovation to our partners. His team are passionate about incorporating the best aspects of traditional Actuarial techniques and data analytics to get deeper insights into pricing and consequently improve member outcomes.

Tracey leads a dedicated team of claims professionals who are committed to supporting members when they need it the most. Tracey has over 15 years of experience in the life insurance industry and is passionate about making the claims process simple and easy for members and creating value for our partners through innovation.
Ben Fredericks - Group Underwriting Manager
Ben has 10 years of experience at Zurich and currently manages the Underwriting function for our group insurance business. Ben's focus is ensuring underwriting is continuously optimised to be as efficient and approachable as possible, utilising best in class technology.
